Mary A. Murphy

Murphy, Mary A. (Coughlan) of Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on December 19, 2022. Mary was born in Boston to the late Henry and Margaret (Looney) Coughlan. She was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph Academy and Boston Business School. Mary was an avid reader, loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends but especially wintering on Marco Island.

Beloved wife of 56 years to William T. Murphy of E. Bridgewater. Loving mother of Elisabeth Lang and her husband John of Weymouth, Patricia Keefe and her husband Stephen of E. Bridgewater and William C. Murphy and his wife Deanna of Weymouth. Dear sister of Margaret Cassidy of Natick and the late Henry Coughlan Jr. Cherished sister in law of Roberta Murphy of Norwell and Elizabeth “Betty” O’Connell of Seattle, WA. Proud Nana of Abigail Bagley, Molly Keefe, Amelia Keefe, William H. Murphy, Genevieve Murphy and the late David Tapper and Daniel Murphy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
