Mary A. Heavey (Curran) of Quincy, age 97, died November 19, 2018 at Hancock Park Nursing Home surrounded by family.

Beloved wife of the late Michael J. Heavey. Loving mother of Martin J. and his wife Deanna of West Bridgewater, Michael P. and his wife Maureen of Mansfield and Mary Ellen Ryan and her husband James of Stratham, NH. Devoted grandmother of Kelleen, Martin, Martha, Cathryn, Patrick and Elizabeth Heavey and James, Molly and Matt Ryan. Sister of the late Martin and John Curran of Ireland, Barbara Connell of Jamaica Plain and Bridie Foley of Dorchester. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born in Keeraun, Co. Galway, Ireland and came to Boston in 1948. She was devoted to her family, friends and her Catholic faith and enjoyed preparing family meals and spending time with her grandchildren. For the past eight years, she was lovingly cared for by the staff at Hancock Park Nursing Home in Quincy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday at 8 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to Hancock Park Nursing Home, c/o Recreation Department, 164 Parkingway, Quincy MA 02169.
