Mary A. “Bunny” Heffernan

Heffernan, Mary A. “Bunny” (Quinn) of Rockland, formerly of Quincy, July 14, 2005. Beloved wife of Thomas J. Heffernan, Sr. of Rockland. Loving mother of Donna and her husband Russell Steinbach of Dorchester, Thomas J., Jr. and his wife Terry of Braintree, William and his wife Christine and Kevin and his wife Kristen; all of Weymouth. Sister of John of ME, James of FL, Carol Hunter of TX, Kathy Shields of Wareham, Barbara Manuelpillai of Walpole and the late Theresa Burke and William Quinn. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She worked in the nursing field for the last 20 years for Dr. Ronald Finn, Dermatologist, in E. Milton. She also worked at Carney Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Bunny graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, as well as Bryman Institute. She was very active in the Cursillo Movement in the Holy Cross Retreat House at Stonehill College where she ran retreats for the Matt Talbot Program. Bunnys’ family were her pride and joy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in memory of Mrs. Heffernan may be made to Hospice of the South Shore 100 Baystate Drive P.O.
