Mary A. Brusin

Brusin, Mary A. (Raux) of Quincy February 11, 2006. Wife of the late Gunnar Brusin. Mary is survived by her sons, Eugene of Quincy and Michael of Abington; her brother Eugene Roux & his wife Mary of North Quincy; her aunt Ruth whom she visited faithfully every day at the nursing home; nieces Mary Ellen & Christine; Nephews Redmond & the late Eugene; and many friends including Deborah Bostock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery. Mary passed away after a short, but valiant bout with cancer. She enjoyed 23 years with South Shore Bank in the customer service department where she was a favorite with her customers. After retiring in 1994, she spent her time traveling to such places as Hawaii, San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, Paris, and her monthly trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. She postponed her operation so she could go to Atlantic City one last time. An avid Red Sox fan, she attended Fantasy Day a couple of years ago. She maintained her health by walking up to 2 miles a day in the neighborhood. She volunteered for many years at 1000 Southern Artery, South Shore Hospital, Sacred Heart Church Bingo in Quincy, and at the Abington Senior Center. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon St., Brookline, MA 02446-9918.
