Martin J. “Mattie” Molloy

Molloy, Martin J. “Mattie” of Quincy, died suddenly on October 6, 2012. Beloved husband of Barbara Molloy of Quincy. Loving father of Carol Phripp of Braintree, Kevin Molloy of Canton, Barry Molloy of Braintree and Kerri Keller also of Braintree. Stepfather of Kevin Dempsey of Stoughton, Paul Dempsey of Taunton and James Dempsey of North Carolina. Brother of Katherine Kavanaugh of England, Michael and Tim Molloy both of Ireland. Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren. Mattie was born and educated in Ireland. He worked for General Moters in Westwood for 33 years in the parts department before retiring in 2007. Mattie was an avid golfer, whether watching it or playing it he loved the game. Mattie was proud of his Irish heritage returning to Ireland when ever he could to visit friends and family. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have know him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at Thursday at 9:45am prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
