McHugh, Martin Francis of Milton, formerly of Quincy and Galway, Ireland, passed away on Sunday August 7, 2011 surrounded by the family he cherished. The beloved husband of 56 years to Anne (Connolly) McHugh of Milton. Loving father of Patrick McHugh and his wife Jeanne of NJ, Michael McHugh of Quincy, Thomas McHugh and his wife Elizabeth of MI, Martin & Winifred McHugh both of Quincy. Brother of the late Patrick McHugh. Devoted Grandpa of Kelli, Michael, Meghan, Caitlin and Keira. Martin worked for Boston Gas for 37 years retiring back in 1993. He was a quiet, hard working and gentle man who enjoyed working around his home. Proud of his Irish heritage, he enjoyed listening to Irish music. The essence of his life was his family. He took great pride in raising his children with strong values and family traditions, which would later become all that was important to him. Martin will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who cherished his time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth’s Church, Milton, at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
