Keane, Martin E. ‘Gus’ of Quincy, passed away November 14, 2011. Loving father of Martin E. Keane, Jr of South Boston, and Robert J. Keane of Naples, FL. Former husband of Joan M. Keane of Quincy. Brother of Mary J. Wyse of Dennis, Ann M. Leonard of Stoneham, James V. Keane of Wakefield, and the late John T. Kane. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Boston, Martin worked for over twenty years as a lineman for Boston Edison. He was a Patriots fan, loved the ocean and the beach and will miss his trips to Sullivan’s at Castle Island. Martin was a member of the Castle Island Association, a friend of Bill W. and proud of his sobriety for the past 46 years. Martin was also a Korean War combat veteran serving with the United States Army Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Program, 1120 G. St. NW. Suite 700. Washington, DC 20005
