Martha F. Crowley

Martha F. Crowley (Washburn) of Quincy, formerly of Roxbury and Dorchester, died January 4, 2015 at the age of 82.

Martha was a graduate of UMass Boston and Harvard University. She worked for the city of Boston for many years and later retired as a chemist for the MWRA. After retirement, she managed an H&R Block Office in Weymouth. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Wife of the late Clement F. Crowley. Loving mother of Denise Crowley Treier and husband Tim of SC, Diane Maguire of Weymouth, Clement Crowley and wife Cheryl of Carver, Timothy Crowley and wife Marie of Weymouth, Debra Rutter and husband David of Stevens, PA, Rita Arsenault and husband Jim of Suwanee, GA, John Crowley and wife Ajita of Quincy and Martha F. “Marty” Gallant of Quincy. Sister of Kenneth, Calvin, Gary, Franklin, Rosemary Ingersoll, Carol King, Alice “Cookie” Roussel, Linda Young and the late Charlie, Margaret “Bobby” Wenzelberger, Ernest, and Janice Freeland. Also survived by 26 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Milton Cemetery. Donations in memory of Martha may be made to Special Olympics, 1133 19th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036.
