Martha's pride and joy lay in her own garden, where she nurtured thriving tomatoes and cucumbers with her renowned green thumb. Her commitment to gardening extended beyond her own garden. She resided at Allerton House assisted living in Hingham later in life, where she received the best of care. There Martha championed the installation of raised garden beds that inspired fellow residents to partake in the joys of gardening.
