Marlene A. Stuart

Stuart, Marlene A. (Partridge) of Braintree, formerly of North Quincy, died on July 25, 2010. Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Robert J. Stuart. Devoted mother of Deborah A. Mayer of Brockton, Barbara J. Doyle of North Quincy and Diane M. Sullivan of Braintree. Cherished grandmother of Edward and Robert Chaisson and Richard Doyle. Great-grandmother of Marchello, Nathan, Bradley and Sadie Chaisson. Marlene was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester until moving to North Quincy, where she lived for 21 years. She has been a Braintree resident for the last 9 years. She worked as a sales associate for both Filene’s and Encore Consignment Shop in North Quincy. She was also a former nurses aide, working at the Bowdoin Nursing Home in Dorchester. Mrs. Stuart volunteered in St. Peter’s CYO in Dorchester as a supportive band parent and also in Braintree’s Council on Aging and Alliance Healthcare in Braintree. She loved to travel with her daughter Diane and going shopping. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday, 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Marlene may be made to Grove Manor Estates, Activities Department, 160 Grove Street, Braintree, MA 02184.
