Mr. Mark T. Nelson, of Altamonte Springs, FL, formerly of Hanover, passed away on July 4, 2017.

A 2004 Hanover High School graduate, Mark worked as an Assistant Sales Manager at a family-owned business in Orlando. A devoted fan of the New England Patriots and the Grateful Dead, he also enjoyed attending music festivals. Compassionate and friendly, all who met Mark were warmed by his genuine smile.

Beloved son of Peggy Nelson and her husband, Jim Doherty, of Hanover, and Thomas Nelson and his wife, Karen, of Westfield.

Loving brother of  Christopher Nelson of Orange County, CA, and Scott Nelson of Worcester. Grandson of Tess and Al Reale of Quincy. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, Hanover. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark’s memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or the National MS Society.
