Mark Alan Leahy

Mark Alan Leahy of Beverly, formerly of Quincy passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was 53.

He was born in Quincy to Madelyn (Mullally) and John Leahy Sr. Mark grew up in Quincy and maintained many friendships and ties over the years. He graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served for 9 years, part of which was on the USS Key West submarine. 

Using skills obtained during his enlistment, Mark worked as an automations and control technician for over 20 years and was recently promoted to an engineering position. 

Mark was deeply devoted to his daughter, Julianna, with whom he shared many unforgettable memories. Together, they traveled all over New England, capturing the charm of Rockport through old-timey photos and enjoying countless foodie dates in Boston. When they were home, Mark would often take to the kitchen as he was an excellent cook. He’d serve up dinner and deal the cards for a game of Rummy. Mark's love for life, adventure and family was evident in the joy he found in these special moments with Julianna. He will be remembered for his compassion and always lending a helpful hand to anyone that needed it.

Devoted father to Julianna Leahy of Salem. Cherished son of John F. Leahy of Plymouth and the late Madelyn A. Leahy. Loving brother to John F. Leahy Jr. of Plymouth, Kevin M. Leahy and his wife Barbra of Marshfield, Christopher P. Leahy of Braintree, and Gail Lydon and her husband Kevin of Duxbury.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 2/26/2025 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday 2/27/2025 at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
