Mark C. Hopey

Hopey, Mark C. of Hingham, passed away April 11, 2011. Beloved son of the late John E. Hopey, Sr. and Naomi (Baker) Hopey. Loving brother of John E. Hopey, Jr. of Weymouth, Robin J. Griffin of FL, Amy C. Shea of Hull and the late Pamela A. Cadigan. He was a close friend of Diane Moniz of Holbrook. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mark grew up in Hingham, graduated from Hingham High School and joined his Dad in their cabinet making business for almost twenty years. His life revolved around his loving family. He adored his nieces and nephews and took great interest in their activities and accomplishments. A Licensed Practical Nurse by training, he was fortunate to have cared for his parents in their later years, in the dignity of their own home. Mark enjoyed working on his Mustang and fishing. He was caring, sensitive, and will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 6 PM in the funeral home.
