Mark A. Merline

Mark A. Merline, of Hingham, died April 9, 2013 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Merline was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees. After the war, he was a shipbuilder at the Fore River Shipyard until his retirement.

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy J. (Johnson) Loving mother of Mary L. Schirmer and her husband, Ralph, of Hingham, Nancy A. Salvucci and her husband, Dan, of Whitman, and Dorothy E. Amico and her husband, Stephen, of Hanson. Brother of the late Rosemary Sheedy of Quincy, Martha Merline of Florida and Charles Merline of Franklin. Grandfather of Ralph Jr. and his wife Elaine, Lisa, Matthew, Katelyn, Elizabeth, David, and Michael. Great grandfather of Joseph and Julia.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, JFK Federal Building, Government Center, Room 1575B, Boston, MA  02203.
