Mark A. Chiros

Mark A. Chiros of Weymouth, died June 11, 2017.

In his early years Mark was a skilled football player, earning many state records and being inducted into the Hall of Fame at Archbishop Williams High School. He remained an avid sports fan and enjoyed being a presence at the sporting events of his children and grandchildren, often becoming the #1 fan of the entire team. Mark enjoyed boating, fishing and digging for quahogs. He loved spending time at the family’s Cape Cod Cottage on Buttermilk Bay.

Beloved husband of the late Karen F. (Martin) Chiros. Devoted father of Mike F. Chiros of Wakefield and Debbie St. Croix and her husband Kevin of Weymouth. Cherished grandfather of Jamie, Brian, Lexi and Nico. Loving brother of Colette Kent of South Carolina, Thalia Erwin of Kansas, the late George “Nicky” Chiros and his widow Elaine of Whitman. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and his beloved canine companion Nellie.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 11 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 12 PM.
