Marjorie R. Forgione

Marjorie R. Forgione, 93, died Sunday afternoon September 9, 2018 at the Hanover Terrace, in Hanover, New Hampshire.

She was born on August 27, 1925 in Waterford, CT, the daughter of Henrietta (Schlink) and Benton Chase Kennedy, and was the wife of recently deceased, Ernest A. Forgione, whom she married in Boston, MA on July 23, 1944. She graduated from New London High School, Class of 1943. After high school she was employed by Southern New England Telephone Company, a job she loved and was proud to have held. It was the only job she held outside the home, prior to having her children. Being a homemaker was her life’s joy, endlessly providing for her family with her cooking and sewing.   

She is survived by a daughter, Eileen A. Gibson of Stillwater, MN, two sons, Ernest A. Forgione, Jr. of Bowdoinham, ME and David P. Forgione (Martha) of Woodstock, VT, a sister, Betty Mitchell of Milford, CT, five grandchildren, Lisa, Kelly, Jessica, Justin and Lauren, and three great-children, Alicia, Orion and Teagan. 

Relatives and friends will gather for a visitation on Friday, September 14th, 9:00 a.m. at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles and Middle), East Weymouth, MA.  A Funeral Mass will follow at Immaculate Heart Church, 1203 Commercial Street, East Weymouth, MA, at 10:30 a.m., and burial in the MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 1:15 p.m.
