Marjorie Laplume

LaPlume, Marjorie (Coates) “Margie” of Braintree, entered eternal rest on December 20, 2021 at the age of 82. 

Margie was a life long resident of Braintree, where she and her husband raised a loving family.   She enjoyed gardening and taking trips to New Hampshire with her husband.  Margie’s main passion in life was spending time with her family, she was the glue that held them all together.  Margie will be remembered for her loving and caring personality.  She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.  

Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Norman LaPLume.  Loving mother of Norman LaPlume Jr. and his wife Gretchen of Hingham, Donna Storer and her husband Jack of Marshfield, Ronald LaPlume and his wife Mary of Braintree and Yvonne LaPlume of Plymouth. Devoted Gramma of 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Caring sister of the late Ivy Gay and William Coates.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 9-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH.  Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
