Marjorie A. (Macodrum) Watson

Watson, Marjorie A. (MacOdrum) of Quincy, died January 21, 2024. She was 94.

Born in Cambridge in 1929, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Marjorie (Purdy) MacOdrum.

Marjorie will be remembered fondly for her vibrant spirit and kind heart. Known for her zest for life and undeniable trivia knowledge, Marjorie made an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Throughout her years, she brought warmth and compassion wherever she went, touching the hearts of many. She was a world traveler, usually with her sister Ruth by her side. Marjorie’s unwavering positivity, strength, resilience, and love for others will forever remain in our memories. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.

Predeceased by her husband Hugh Watson Jr. Loving mother to Susan McSweeney and the late Stephen Duffy of Weymouth, the late Hugh Watson III, and the late Glenn Watson. Nanny to Jaime Alicea and the late Jack McSweeney. Great Nanny to Nadia Alicea, John Hugh Alicea, and Charlotte McSweeney. Cherished aunt to Donna Spencer and her husband William and Robin Herrmann and her husband Carl. Sister to the late Helene Gailey, the late Ruth Joslyn and the late Howard MacOdrum.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 12:00 – 2:00 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be celebrated directly following the visiting hours at 2:00 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
