Ortiz, Marjorie A. (Miller) of Weymouth, died February 17, 2020 after a long fight with a horrible disease.
Beloved wife of 39 years to Francisco J. Ortiz of Weymouth. Loving mother of Sandra L. Marriott and her husband Richard of East Boston, Lyn M. Greenwood and her husband Thomas of Abington, John J. Mattina and his wife Susan of South Carolina and the late Christopher P. Mattina. Cherished daughter of the late Charles and Alice Miller. Caring sister of Charles Parker Miller and his husband Al of California and the late Marilyn Gregiore. Devoted grandmother of 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also survived by other extended family and dear friends.
Marjorie was affectionally know as the “fudge lady” at Woolworths downtown crossing in Boston where she worked for many years. She was a courageous, strong woman who made it through many life obstacles before meeting the love of her life, Jimmy. Marjorie was devoted to caring for her family and just embraced life to the fullest. She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 10-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
