Wilson, Marion C. (Cullity) of Abington, 88, beloved sister, aunt, friend and devoted wife to departed husband Joseph Cook and departed husband Charles Donald Wilson passed away on August 14, 2015.
Marion was born on December 16, 1926 in Charlestown, MA. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Marion (Lavelle) Cullity. She attended Emmanuel College and worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Brockton for many years. Marion was a communicant of St. Bridget’s Church in Abington. She had been a lector, eucharistic minister and member of the church choir. She was past president of the Fleet Reserve, past president of the Abington Seniors, late member of the Abington VFW and Opals choral group. Marion was a faithful Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing the piano and organ.
She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends and her style and grace. Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters Regina King, Dorothy Burns and husband Kevin, cousin Florence Burke and husband John and many treasured nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Anne Louise Mortimer and husband Joe, Mary Jane Livingston and husband Bill, brother Tommy Cullity and wife Mary.
With gratitude and respect for a life well lived her family invites relatives and friends to attend visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Bridget’s Church, Abington at 9AM. A burial will follow at 12:30 PM in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
