Gustafson, Marilyn Sears of Quincy formerly of Hanover December 18, 2005. Beloved wife of Daniel T. Gustafson of Quincy, Devoted Mother of Daniel E. Gustafson and his wife Janine of South Boston, Kara Gustafson of New York City, N.Y., and Meghan Gustafson of Quincy. Daughter of the late Edward & Irene(Toomey) Sears. Sister of Irene Wilbur and her husband Kendall of East Bridgewater, Debra Sears-Cencarik and her husband Edward of Hanover, Margaret Mead and her husband James of Boston, Virginia Grogan and her husband Edmund of Quincy and Carol Conti and her husband Thomas of Braintree, Godmother of Patrick Sears Grogan of Los Angeles, CA. Dear Friend of Heidi Bright of Weymouth. Marilyn is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 3- 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Marilyn Sears Gustafson died peacefully in her home on Sunday , Dec. 18, 2005 surrounded by her family after a long battle with breast cancer. She was the daughter of the late Edward & Irene (Toomey) Sears. Marilyn grew up in Randolph and Quincy. After graduation from Archbishop Williams High School and then Emmanuel College , she taught foreign languages in the Weymouth School systems before returning to Simmons College where she obtained her MBA degree. Most recently she was a corporate manager in the Finance Dept. at Partners Healthcare in Charlestown , where she was still currently working. She had been at Partners Healthcare for 10 years. Marilyn was married to her husband Dan Gustafson for 32 years. They raised their 3 children in Hanover before moving back to Quincy. Throughout her life she was very involved in her children’s activities she was very dedicated to her daughters basketball team at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, as well as her son’s championship hockey teams at Boston College High School and Holy Cross College. Marilyn was an avid Red Sox fan and counted among her prized possessions her ticket stub to a World Series game at Fenway Park last year. She is survived by husband Daniel. A son Daniel E. and his wife Janine of South Boston, 2 daughters – Kara Gustafson of New York City and Meghan Gustafson of Quincy. Marilyn is survived by 5 sisters Irene Wilbur of E. Bridgewater, Debra Sears-Cencarik of Hanover, Margaret Mead of Boston, Virginia Grogan of Quincy and Carol Conti of Braintree. She is the Godmother of Patrick Sears Grogan of L.A. CA and Dear Friend of Heidi Bright of Weymouth. Marilyn is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
