Marilyn L. (MacMunn) O’Shea, 79, of South Weymouth, born April 3, 1935, died at home on Saturday, November 8, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Marilyn grew up in Dorchester where she met her husband John J. O’Shea and was his loving wife for 54 years.
Marilyn’s creative talents as a seamstress and dressmaker were known by many. Her career spanned from Tony’s Restaurant to Putnam Investments and retiring from MIS/ADP in Norwell, while making many friends along the way. Marilyn’s true joy in life was spending time with family and friends.
Loving mother of Donna Wisnaskas and husband Tom of Mansfield, Debbie O’Shea-Begley and her husband Brian of Abington, Karen Agoros and her husband Christos of Middletown, RI and Kim FitzGerald and her husband Glenn of Duxbury. She was the loving Grandmother (Grammie, Mimi) of Michael, Brendan, Julia, Johnny and Olivia. Sister of the late Marguerite Angiulo, Lorraine Marsh and John MacMunn.
Our family wishes to extend our sincerest appreciation to the Nurses of Hospice of the South Shore, with special thanks to Michelle Bache.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, November 12th from 4-8 PM in the McDonald-Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, S. Weymouth on Thursday, November 13th at 9:30 AM followed by the burial in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree, MA.
