Marilyn L. Getz

Marilyn L. Getz, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died February 27, 2021. Marilyn had a long and successful career in manufacturing management. She was a talented painter, favoring landscapes and ocean scenes. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii and was always up for a party. She will be remembered as loving, generous and charitable. Marilyn will be deeply missed.

Beloved daughter of the late Mary and Leslie Estabrook. Loving sister of Gilda Swanson of FL and the late William and Stephen Getz. Cherished aunt of Kirsten and Duane Darrow of MA and Jason and Arianne Getz of Weymouth. Also survived by sister-in-law Janice Williams and her family, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth on Monday at 10 AM.

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. If you are unable to gather together with Marilyn’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the link above and sharing a special memory or message.
