Marilyn J. Gomes

Gomes, Marilyn J. (MacLaughlin) of Braintree, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, January 15, 2013. She was 59.

Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother and Nana. They were the foundation of all that was important to her. She will be dearly missed.

Beloved wife of Jim Gomes of Braintree. Devoted mother of Peter Gomes and his wife Deborah of Mansfield and Julie Gomes-Doherty of Braintree. Loving daughter of the late Angus and Mary (Murphy) MacLaughlin. Cherished “Nana” of Caitlin, Michael, Isabella and Addison. Loving sister of James MacLaughlin of Westwood, Rosemary Sweeney of Maine, Patricia MacLaughlin of Northborough, Deborah LaPreste of Hopedale and sister-in-law of Aldo Gomes of Weymouth, Maria Pinheiro of Weymouth and Anthony Gomes of Florida. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday in St. Thomas More Church, Braintree at 10:30 AM.  Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
