Honkalehto, Marilyn A. (Sweeney) of Kingston, and Sarasota, FL formerly of Hingham, suddenly on May 21, 2007. The beloved wife of 49 years to Harold Honkalehto of Kingston & FL. Loving mother of Karen H. Sweeney of Coronado, CA. Peter Honkalehto of Marshfield and Kristen H. Cox of Duxbury and the late Eric Honkalehto . Sister of Dorothy Bilodeau and Frederick Sweeney both of Roslindale and the late Patricia Ashman .Devoted Grandmother of Erik, Kelsey and Brian Cox of Duxbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10AM. Visiting hours Friday 4- 8 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marilyn may be made to Arthritis Foundation, MA Chapter, 29 Crafts St., Newton, MA 02158. Marilyn grew up in Jamaica Plain. She raised her family in Hingham, Massachusetts and then later moved to Florida. Her family remembers her as a devoted wife,mother and grandmother. Marilyn was a loving and warm person who always put her family first. Her children describe her as a compassionate and understanding mother who was always around for them. She devoted her life to her family. They recall how much fun she was to be around. Marilyn enjoyed traveling with her husband Harold. She also enjoyed listening to Irish music. But more importantly, her family was what was always most important. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
