Marie T. Driscoll

Driscoll, Marie T. (White), a resident of Hingham for more than 50 years, formerly of Quincy, passed away on January 17, 2011 at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Francis L. Driscoll, Jr; the loving mother of Marie Hanlon and her husband Harry of Hingham, Francis L., III and his wife Kelly of Hingham, Daniel J. and his wife Mary Ellen of Hull, Elizabeth Nace and her husband Phillip of Sarasota, FL, Rosemary Driscoll of Sarasota, FL, Georgia Driscoll, of Hingham, and David L. and his wife Elizabeth of Hingham. Sister of Brother Phillip White, C.F.X. of Danvers, Elizabeth Ann Clem of Ventura, CA, the late Harry White, and the late Robert White. Marie is also survived by her 9 cherished grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marie was a 1944 graduate of Regis College and a school teacher for Quincy Public Schools. She was an honorary member of the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club and a former member of the Marshfield Country Club. An avid sailor, Marie enjoyed spending summers in Scituate with her family and winters Florida. For many years, Marie was an active member in the singing group, The O.P.A.L’s, performing in south shore nursing homes. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2-6:00 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church,Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
