Marie N. (Pellegrini) MacFee, 81 years of age of Weymouth, passed away at her home, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 after a courageous struggle. She was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Braintree, the daughter of the late Faust A. and Gladys R. (Brown) Pellegrini.
Loving and dear wife for 55 years of the late William G. MacFee, Sr. Cherished and devoted mother of Cheryl A. MacFee of Braintree, William G. MacFee, Jr. and his wife Cynthia, James F. MacFee, and Karen M. Walker and her husband Daniel all of Weymouth. Adored Nana with a heart of gold of grandchildren Scott, Brendan, Melanie, Jennifer, William, Lucas and Joshua. Marie leaves behind her beloved favorite “kid” brother, Ronald C. Pellegrini, Sr. and his wife Judith of Aurora, TX. Predeceased by her older brother, the late Robert F. Pellegrini. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. “Ri” shared an especially affectionate bond with her honorary granddaughter Katie M. and the entire Mullin family of Pembroke, MA.
As a new bride Marie relocated to Michigan to be with her new husband, U.S. Airman MacFee who was stationed in Mount Clemens, MI, before coming back to settle in Weymouth and raise her family nearly sixty years ago. Becoming a mother and ultimately her perfect role as a grandmother, Nana realized her dreams fulfilled. “Nana” was the term of endearment she took pleasure in most of all! Her love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable . . . a love they all shared with her and are blessed to carry in their hearts forever.
Marie enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods, Twin Rivers and Bingo. A passionate Boston Red Sox fan and an awesome fan of the New England Patriots. Retired employee of the Town of Weymouth Public Schools.
With great sadness in our hearts and an undying love, we send Marie home to God’s peaceful arms to be reunited with her loving husband, Mac. Goodnight Nana and Papa, too. We love you and miss you to pieces. Sleep in Heavenly peace, Nana . . . it’s a Silent Night without “YOU”.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA, 02445 or to Make A Wish Foundation, 1 Bulfinch Place, # 207 Boston, MA 02114.
