Marie Higgins

Marie Higgins (Jones) of Weymouth, died at home August 22, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

Marie will be remembered for her warm, loving spirit and generous heart.

She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Lucy Jones. Wife of the late Robert P. Higgins. Loving mother of Patricia A. Gagnon and husband Kenny of Westborough, Thomas M. Higgins and wife Anne McGregor of VA, Mary Lou Silverman and spouse Paula Melanson of Bedford, Helen M. Pong and husband Henry of FL, Robert P. Higgins, Jr. and wife Linda of Weymouth, Kathleen Smith and husband Al of Braintree, Edward P. Higgins and wife Irma of VT, Joanne Cole and husband Bob of Weymouth, and Nancy O’Shaughnessy and husband Jack of Norwell. Sister of Jackie Adams of Highlands, TX, and the late Ruby Lee Dunks, Alma, Suel, James, Marvin, Gaston, and Gerald Jones. Sister in law of Richard Higgins if Weymouth. Also survived by 25 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. To honor Marie’s legacy of welcoming and feeding others, donations may be made to the Weymouth Food Pantry, PO Box 890009, Weymouth, MA 02189.
