Marie Elaine (Bouchie) Hoover, of Weymouth, formerly of Hull, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 69.
Born in Weymouth on February 5, 1951, she was raised in Hingham and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Marks) Bouchie. Marie attended local schools and graduated from Hingham High School with the Class of 1969.
A homemaker, she loved raising her children and caring for her grandchildren. In her spare time, Marie enjoyed reading, playing the lottery and spending time with her family.
Marie was supportive, kind, honest, loving, strong and caring. Her life lessons and example are part of her legacy that continue through her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.
Marie was the devoted mother of William C. Hoover and his spouse Amy of Pembroke and the late Dorothy Hoover, who died in 2005. She was the loving grandmother of William “Billy” Joel Hoover and Myles Austin Hoover, both of Pembroke. Marie was the dear sister of Jean Hagerty and her late husband Robert of Hingham, Ernest Bouchie of Weymouth, the late Walter Bouchie and his surviving wife Barbara of Florida and the late James Bouchie. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, January 5, 2020 from 9 through 11 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
Her funeral service and interment will be celebrated privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Marie’s name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
