Marie “Elaine” Bauer

Bauer, Marie “Elaine” (Riley) lifelong resident of Avon, passed away August 27, 2015.

Beloved wife of 39 years of the late Richard M. Bauer.  Loving mother of Richard M. Bauer of Avon, Valerie T. Griffiths and her husband Jim of Marshfield and the late Maureen Dion and baby William. Loving guardian of Crystal Dion of Taunton and David Dion of Easton,  Cherished “Nana” of Stephanie Bauer, Danielle Braga, Matthew Bauer, Meaghan Bauer, Melanie Bauer, Michael Bauer and James Griffiths.  Great-grandmother of Zachary and Charlotte Rose.  Loving cousin of Mary Manfredi of Plymouth and best friend of Lucy Scotti of NH.

Elaine graduated from Mission High School in 1953. For over 20 years she worked as an accounts payable bookkeeper at Sealey Mattress Company and before retiring worked for 8 years as a receptionist at the Ellis Nursing Home.  She enjoyed sewing and shopping.  She was a professional “yard saler” who loved collecting many trinkets along the way.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Service, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s of the Nativity, 4 Kent Street, Scituate, MA 02066.
