Marie C. Benard

Marie C. (Hyland) Benard of Hingham died February 24, 2017.  The beloved wife of  Norman A. Benard. Loving mother of Michael Benard and his wife, Amanda Benard, of Hingham and the late Michelle Benard. Sister of Richard J. Hyland of Quincy, Marguerite Manco of FL and the late Francis Hyland. Cherished grandmother of Casey, Morgan, Owen, Corinne and Vivian Benard all of Hingham. Loving aunt of Richard and Robert Hyland and Marguerite Ann Valeri.

Marie graduated from Emmanuel College and received her Masters degree in English. A talented teacher, Marie taught English to the students of Hingham High School, retiring in 1995.   An avid reader, Marie also loved music especially singing. A devout Catholic, she was well known in her parish community. She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.

Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
