Marianna “Sis” Saari

Marianna “Sis” (Cullity) Saari of Hingham, formerly of S. Weymouth, entered into eternal life,  August 12, 2016.

Former wife of Allan W. Saari of Kingston.  Loving mother of Stephen Saari and his wife Karen of Atlanta, GA and Kirsten Son and her husband Leo of Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of Leo, Jr., Patrick and Joshua Son all of Weymouth. Dear sister of Gerard Cullity of Quincy and the late William and Robert Cullity.

For many years Sis was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Public Utilities. In her earlier years, she worked part-time at Jordan Marsh at the South Shore Plaza as a demonstrator of Oster products. Sis had an undeniable zest for life and loved nothing better than making people laugh. Her “larger than life” enthusiasm and innate charm captivated everyone she met.  She loved ballroom dancing, reading, traveling, relaxing at the beach, and spreading joy and laughter. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home Friday at 8:30AM prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30AM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sis’ memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
