Marian F. (Laubenstein) Walsh of Weymouth, formerly of South Boston, passed peacefully surrounded by her children on July 2, 2021 at the age of 80.
Marian was a woman always on the go. She loved spending time with family and friends at her home in New Hampshire and enjoyed many trips to Disney World. She was active to the end, participating regularly in activities at the senior center, playing cards with friends, golfing, and dancing. There were few things in life she cherished more than her role as adoring grandmother to Annabelle, Kevin and Liam.
Loving wife of the late John J. Walsh, Jr. for 42 years, she was the beloved mother of Donna Walsh of Weymouth; Joseph Walsh and his wife Anna of Duxbury; and Kevin Walsh and his wife Jenn of Marshfield; and John Walsh. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Robert, Charles, Marie (Charis), John, Claire (Lee), and William and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Marian may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
