Marian “Edith” Levangie

Levangie, Marian “Edith” of Weymouth, entered into eternal rest, August 20, 2015.

Beloved daughter of the late Leo W. and Alice (Murphy) Levangie.  Loving sister of Anne E. Carey and her husband Robert W. of Needham and the late Francis Leo and Catherine L. Levangie, Colonel US Army Nursing Corps.  Cherished aunt of Christine Conley of HIngham, Noreen Carey-Neville and her husband Peter of Plymouth, Brian Carey and his wife Kathy of Milton, Donald Carey and his wife Diane of Norfolk and Steven Carey of Waltham. Marian “Edith” is lovingly survived by 11 grandnieces and grandnephews and 7 great-grandnieces and nephews. Marian “Edith” will be dearly missed by her best friend Joyce McCue of Weymouth.

She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1945.  Marian “Edith” always said the best years of her life were spent working at Boston College from which she retired in 1990. She was a proud member of the “Morning Glory’s Club” at Immaculate Conception Church.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-6PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marian “Edith”s memory to the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 97 Bethany Rd, Framingham, MA 01701.
