Maria “Terry” Bachelder

Maria “Terry” (Buonopane) Bachelder, of North Weymouth, died October 12, 2020. She was 94.

Terry was active in North Weymouth for many years through the Council on Aging, Weymouth Senior Citizen Recreation Club, North Weymouth Seniors and the North Weymouth Civic Association. She loved playing bingo, watching Boston sports, especially the Red Sox and enjoyed many senior trips. She had a special place in her heart for parakeets and was happiest when spending time with her family. People were drawn to her outgoing nature and she was known for her devotion to card giving and never forgetting a special day. She will be deeply missed.  

Beloved wife of the late Charles Bachelder and Charles Dodge. Devoted mother of Linda Perona and her husband Stephen of Norwell, William Dodge of Quincy, Raylene Garrow of NC, Kevin Bachelder and his wife Colleen of Halifax and the late Charles and Robert Dodge. Cherished Nana of 14 grandchildren and Nana GG to 15 (soon to be 16) great-grandchildren. Loving sister of the late Joseph Buonopane, Frank Buonopane, Anthony Buonopane, James Buonopane, Robert Buonopane, Virginia McGrath, Mary Mace and Grace Browder. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 10AM-1PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street).

The funeral service that will follow is private.
