Maria Shalno-Szalno (Szypidecz) of Quincy and Weymouth, formerly of South Boston, died June 25, 2013.

Maria was born and raised in Poland. She was a member of Polish American Citizen’s Club.

Wife of the late Peter P. Shalno. Loving mother of Edward Szalno of Braintree, Milly Esdale and husband Daniel of Hyde Park, Christine O’Toole and husband Patrick of Weymouth, Ted Szalno and wife Dorothy of Weymouth and the late Stephen and Peter Shalno. Maria is also survived by her many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea St. (off RT.3A-Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston. Donations in memory of Maria may be made to Colonial Rehab. & Nursing Center Activity Fund, 125 Broad St., Weymouth, MA 02188.
