Maria Pizzi Montesi

Maria P. (Maier) Pizzi Montesi of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, died June 4, 2015. Maria grew up in Germany and came to the United States as a German war bride after WWII. Maria owned the Mr. Donut Shop in Weymouth for over 20 years. She loved boating and was a member of the Town River Yacht Club. Maria enjoyed dancing and was the consummate host, always looking forward to being surrounded by friends and family. She will be remembered for her strong will, feisty demeanor and devotion to her family. 

 Beloved wife of the late Frank Pizzi and Torey Montesi. Devoted mother of Diane Mavilia and her husband Robert of Braintree, Greg Pizzi and his wife Colette of FL and Wayne Pizzi and his wife Nancy of Holbrook. Loving sister of Martin Maier and his wife Krista of Germany. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) 

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 9:30 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
