Marguerite Svensen

Svensen, Marguerite J. (Doucette) a resident of Quincy for over 57 years, died on September 25, 2014 after a short illness, she was 97. For the last few years, she was a resident at the River Bay Club in Quincy.  Daughter of the late Walter R. Doucette and Mary (McCann) Doucette. Marguerite was born and raised in Dorchester. She is a former employee of the Grove Hall Saving Bank. 

The beloved wife of 55 years to the late Olaf T. Svensen . Loving mother of Arthur T. Svensen and his wife Diane of Bourne and the late Paul Svensen and Carol (Svensen) Hutchinson. Sister of Virginia Ross of Rutland, MA and the late  Mary Kelley, Julia Bowes, John and Walter Doucette.  Mother in law of Judy Svensen of Scituate. Marguerite is survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, North Quincy on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 11:30am. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marguerite may be made to the Development Office of Archbishop Williams High School, 80 Independance Ave., Braintree, MA 02184 or Cathedral High School, 74 Union Park Street, Boston, MA 02118.
