Marguerite Maher

Maher, Marguerite of Quincy, died December 31, 2014.

Marguerite was born and educated in Boston. She lived in Quincy since 1987, where she loved living and being a part of such a Historic City. She worked for Massachusetts Eye and Ear infirmary for many years as Office Manager before retiring. Marguerite was a fiercely independent woman whose passions were history, politics and genealogy. Most of all Marguerite loved her family and circle of friends from Presidents Lane. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

Beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine Maher. Devoted sister of the late Nancy Maher, Thomas J. Maher and David P. Maher.  Marguerite was also lovingly survived by her nieces, nephews, grandniece and  grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45am Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lee MA.
