Marguerite E. (Crowley) Brennan of Weymouth, died peacefully at home in the care of her family and hospice on April 9, 2021 at the age of 90.
Marguerite grew up in Jamaica Plain and worked for the Boston Gas Company where she met Gene. After marriage they lived in her mothers three decker until moving to a brand-new post WWII neighborhood in North Weymouth in 1955. Marguerite is the last of the original homeowners here.
Marguerite was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a busy household and an indomitable spirit with a happy go lucky sense of humor. Her son Jack was her constant companion and they both loved their dog, Bonnie. She enjoyed camping vacations, her trips to Ireland, her cruise to Alaska with Jack and many concerts and church fairs. She took great pleasure in holding each and every baby born into the family. She will be remembered for her warm and generous heart, whose door was always open to anyone who needed her.
She shared 55 years of marriage with her late husband Eugene F. Brennan. Loving mother of Gene Brennan and wife Debbie of Weymouth; Mary Lou Nesson and husband Bob of Whitman; Marguerite Gutekunst and partner Paul Gramer; Terry Brennan and wife Ann; Jack Brennan; Frederick Brennan and partner Ellen Monahan all of Weymouth; Christopher Brennan and wife Caroline of West Bridgewater; Irene Brennan-Krewduk and husband Mike of Plymouth; Elizabeth Brennan of Dedham; and daughter in law Jean Brennan of Halifax.
