Marguerite C. Hamilton

Marguerite C. Hamilton (Hegarty) age 81 of Weymouth (originally from Dorchester), died peacefully at home, Friday, January 9, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Margie was retired from the New England Telephone Co. where she had worked for more than thirty years. Margie was a very special lady who was spirited, spiritual, selfless, deeply kind, fiercely loyal and all about family.  She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking, reading, travel, time by the ocean and shopping excursions.

Margie was the wife of the late Ernest W. Hamilton, loving mother of Bruce W. Hamilton and wife Regina of Hanson, Steven J. Hamilton and wife Madonna of North Attleboro, Jim Hamilton of Melrose and Donna M. Holbrook and husband Bill of Plymouth. Cherished “Gram” of Jim Hamilton, Jr., Lauren E. Steverman and husband Jordan and Eileen DiStefano. Loving sister of Joseph Hegarty of FL, James “Bill” Hegarty of Yarmouth, Natalie Flaherty of Attleboro, Patricia Leone of Taunton and the late Mary Cedrone, Eleanor Williams, Rita Rose, and John Hegarty. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 PM.
