The beloved wife of 59 years, married to the love of her life Roland A. Bourdon Jr. of Hingham. Devoted mother of Roland A. Bourdon III and his wife Judy of Acton, Debra Bourdon of Marshfield and Glenn Bourdon of Hull. Cherished grandmother of Veronica Wyatt and Colin Bourdon. Sister of Mary Fleming and her husband John of Milton and Paul Grueter and his wife Ruth of Plymouth. Sister-in-law of Elaine Meehan and her husband Paul of Norwell and David Bourdon Sr. of Maryland. Marguerite's life was a tapestry of dedication, talent, and love. A proud graduate of St. Agatha's school and the inaugural class at Fontbonne Academy, both in Milton. She pursued her passion for nursing with great commitment. Her education continued at Laboure College, where she earned her degree in nursing, and further advanced her expertise with a Bachelor's Degree from Boston College. Marguerite made significant contributions to healthcare, particularly at Carney Hospital and St. Margaret's Hospital in Dorchester, where she provided compassionate care to pediatric patients.
Her talents extended far beyond the medical field. Marguerite was an accomplished and exceptional artist whose paintings were treasured by all who received them. She was an extraordinary knitter who was known for her exquisite Irish knit sweaters and baby booties which she made for many, not just family, a testament to her skill and creativity. From a young age, she mastered sewing out of necessity, creating curtains and clothing for her family, along with her expertise in needlepoint, cross-stitch, and wallpapering demonstrated her versatility.
Marguerite and her husband, Roland, shared a love for travel, enjoying many cruises together, with memorable journeys to Alaska and the Mediterranean standing out among their favorites. A devout catholic, her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she devoted herself to her family with unwavering love and dedication. After 59 years of marriage, Roland mourns the loss of his beloved wife, describing it as the saddest day of his life.
