Malono, Marguerita “Rita” (Tobin) of Quincy July 21, 2007. Wife of the late Frank R. Malono. Beloved mother of Francis R. Malono of Quincy and William R. Malono and his wife Dianne of Weymouth. Good friend and companion of the late Joseph Kibart. Loving sister of Mildred Kusser of Quincy and Donald Tobin of Bridgewater. Cherished grandmother of Michael Malono, Maura Lascuola, and Stephen Malono. Dear great grandmother of Nicholas Lascuola. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mrs. Malono may be made to Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon St., Brookline, MA 02446-9918. Rita was a life long resident of Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School. During the war time, she worked at the Hingham Shipyard. For over 25 years she was the Chief Telephone Operator for Quincy Hospital retiring in 1987. After retirement, she worked part-time as an on-call operator at NFPA and did some volunteer work for the Council of Aging. She was a Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing Bingo, playing cribbage, and bowling. Rita also enjoyed day trips with the Seniors.
