Margery B. Baxter

Margery B. Baxter of Quincy was called home on March 19, 2016 at the age of 95.

She was the beloved mother of Carol Hurney, Frank Baxter and his wife Brenda, Lois Neilson and her husband Brad, Karen Abate and her husband Phil, the late Carl Baxter and mother-in-law of Kris Baxter.

“Nana” was also blessed with 9 grandchildren including her beloved grandson Kevin Hurney who predeceased her, 12 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.

Margery was grateful for the many blessings of this life especially the simple joy of being outdoors in the sun.  When complimented she would say with a smile “I’m no Mae West, but I do my best”.  “Thank you – I appreciate it” was ever on her lips, and her advice to all was simply “Go with the flow”.

Margery’s family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Marina Bay Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Quincy for their loving care of her through these last few years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday, March 28th 10-11 a.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy with a Celebration of Life Service held in the funeral home at 11 a.m.  Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dorchester.
