Margareta P. Radcliffe

Radcliffe, Margareta P. (Weverink)  of Quincy, died on May 02, 2010.  She was 97. Beloved wife of the late Edward Radcliffe. Devoted mother of Diane M. and her husband James C. Fratolillo and William T. Radcliffe, both of Quincy and the late Edward Radcliffe, Jr. Loving sister of the late Anna Breynaert. Cherished Grandma of Thomas, Matthew, Benjamin, Taylor and great-grandmother of Matthew. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Margareta has been a Quincy resident for 60 years. She worked for Jordan Marsh Company for 10 years, retiring in 1947. She was an active member of the Houghs Neck Community Council for 40 years and held the position of Treasurer of their Scholarship Fund. As a member of the Atherton Hough PTA, Margareta was the Treasurer and Program Chairman. She enjoyed baking wedding cakes for friends and family and her friendly nature led her to be awarded the Houghs Neck Good Neighbor Award in 1969. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Thursday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Margareta may be made to the Houghs Neck Community Council Scholarship Fund, 45 Turner St., Quincy, MA 02169.
