Vallis, Margaret (Eyskens) of Hingham formerly of Hull, passed away March 15, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Edward A. Vallis. Loving mother of Edward T. Vallis and his wife Linda of Hull, Alice Whelan of Hull and Marion LaPierre and her husband Rick of Hull and Pass-A-Grille, FL. Mother in law of the late George C. Whelan. Devoted grandmother of Jody Bowen, Amy Largy, Mary Dunphy, George, Margaret, Edward, Gregory and Peter Whelan, Fred, John, Grace and James Whouley. Great-grandmother of 24 great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters. Margaret lived in Dorchester until she settled in Hull with her husband. Margaret worked at Filene’s in Boston for over 25 years before retiring. Margaret and her husband spent over 20 winters in Florida which she enjoyed so much. She spent endless hours cooking and preparing for the holidays which she always hosted at her house. Margaret’s family was the cornerstone of life, she was a very supportive grandmother and was always there for her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
