Margaret T. Wassell

Margaret T. Wassell (McGeoghegan)  of  Needham MA, beloved wife of the late Albert P. Wassell, passed peacefully on March 12, 2012. 

Born on August 4, 1924, Margaret is survived by her daughter, Deirdre Wassell of Millis, MA, grandson Adam A. Shifrin his wife, Hillary Shifrin, their son, George Shifrin of Portland, OR and granddaughter, Kimberly Shifrin of Ithaca, NY.  Margaret is also survived by her sister, Alice Julian of Brookline and brother Tony McGeoghegan of Boston.  Margaret has many loving nieces and nephews.  Loving late siblings include Philip McGeoghegan, Eleanor Guillmette, Marian McGeoghegan and Dorothy Kelly. The late Danielle Wassell was her cherished daughter. 

Margaret graduated from Brookline High School and furthered her education at Boston State College and later received her Masters Degrees from Boston College.  Margaret retired from the Boston City School System in 1994 where she was a reading specialist. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday March 17 at 11am at St. Paul Church, 147 North Street, Hingham  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Margaret’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
