Funeral Mass in Saint Agatha’s Church, Milton at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Friday 7-9 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Margaret Quinlan, 85, died Friday, February 24, 2005 at Augusta Rehabilitation Center, Augusta, ME. She was born in Lisbon Falls, June 25, 1920, a daughter of Andrew and Julia Badnar Lacko. She graduated from Lisbon Falls High School in 1938 and St. Mary’s General School of Nursing in 1947. She married Thomas Quinlan in Hampton, NH March 17, 1960. Mr. Quinlan died in 1974. Mrs. Quinlan was awarded a civil service commission to the Marine Hospital, Boston from 1952 to 1973. She then worked for Milton Hospital until retiring in 1982. Her dear friend and companion of 25 years was John Short. To his children and grandchildren she was known as Peg Q and Nana Peg. They enjoyed many interests and travel. Mrs. Quinlan was predeceased by her husband; two brothers, John and Andrew Lacko; and two sisters, Mary Murphy and Helen Bowie. She is survived by three nephews, George Byras, Francis Byras, and Louis Murphy; and two nieces, Katherine (Betty) Small and Shirley Durgin.
