Margaret T. “Peggy” Damata

Damata, Margaret T. “Peggy” (Powers) of Hough’s Neck, suddenly September 3, 2005. Wife of the late Anthony Damata. Loving mother of Kimberly A. Moccia of Holbrook, Michael J. Moccia of FL, Mary Teresa Damata of Pittsburgh, PA, Donna M. Walsh of Quincy and Allison A. Damata of Quincy. Sister of Richard Powers of Medfield, Robert Powers of Everett and the late James Powers. Peggy is also survived and loved by 3 grandchildren, many close friends and family members. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will follow visitation at 7 PM. Burial at a later date. Peggy worked as a foster parent for the last 14 years. She loved children and was a natural care giver. Her home was always open to friends and family. Former foster kids would often come back to visit and enjoy her warm hospitality. Music and television were two of her favorite past times. She loved the music of Shania Twain and you wouldn’t want to interupt her while watching Survivor, ER or CSI. She was also a major Red Sox and Patriots fan. She enjoyed playing Keno and trips to Foxwoods and was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxillary. Most of all, she devoted her life to her children and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to the Damata Family Trust, c/o Braintree Cooperative Bank, 1010 Washington St., Braintree, MA 02184. Proceeds will benefit children’s charities.
