Margaret Salvatore

Salvatore, Margaret (Fraser), 79 of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy died peacefully with her daughter by her side on December 6, 2014.

Loved by her daughter, Lisa Franco and her husband Thomas of Weymouth. Devoted sister to Priscilla Andrews of Plymouth and Robert Fraser of Maine. Dear aunt and cherished cousin to many who will miss her dearly. She was the loving wife to the late Nicola Salvatore who passed away in 1972. She was also the beloved daughter to the late Neal and Dorothy Fraser and sister to the late John Fraser. 

Margaret was born and raised in Cohasset until her marriage to Nicola in 1963 when they moved to Quincy. Margaret demonstrated a lifetime of devotion to her daughter whom she loved spending time with. She touched many through her passion of knitting, especially her baby blankets. Margaret spent her working years in health care as a hard working and loving certified nursing assistant.

Margaret’s family wishes to the thank all of the staff at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham for the loving care provided the last five and a half weeks of her life. Also to Hospice of the South Shore for their compassionate and spiritual care along with their support to the family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday from 9 – 11 AM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opposite of South Shore Hospital.) Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM and burial will immediately follow at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy. 

The family kindly requests with gratitude that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to Hospice of the South Shore at 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
